Hello everyone! My name is Drake Baker and I am so excited to be a part of the Lead Mine community while I complete my internship this 2024 school year.

I am currently enrolled in East Carolina's Counselor Education Masters program and am studying to become an elementary school counselor. I am a native of Wake County, growing up in Garner, NC and have recently moved back to the area from Greenville. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family science with a concentration in family and community services from ECU back in 2021. Since then, I have been working towards completing my masters degree in addition to substitute teaching and nannying for many families in the Greenville area!

I am so excited to get back to my Wake County roots and am eager to apply my academic training and practical experience to positively impact the Lead Mine community!
