I am from Kentucky, where I played basketball and earned my BA in Psychology. I traveled after that and also worked as a youth counselor before earning my MA in Education with minors in history and English as a Second Language. I taught in Ecuador, worked at a dive shop in Honduras, took a group of high school students to Costa Rica, and backpacked Peru. I love traveling and experiencing other cultures. 

I moved to North Carolina in 2014 with my husband and 2 daughters. I absolutely adore animals and currently have 3 dogs and a giant cat who thinks he’s el jefe. This is my 7th year teaching for WCPSS and my 2nd at Score Academy. I love my job and enjoy helping our international families feel welcome and informed. I also enjoy getting to know our students while helping them earn their credits for graduation.
