• Tene Williams has been in education for over 25 years, covering different educational realms in 3 states and the District of Columbia.  A native of East Orange, New Jersey, Ms. Williams earned a BS in Elementary Education from Morgan State University and a Master’s in Administration and Supervision from Loyola University. Ms. Williams has been with the Wake County Public School System at Wakefield Elementary since 2005.  Before becoming the Assistant Principal, Ms. Williams worked as the Instructional Facilitator at Wakefield, serving teachers and students in grades K-5.  

    Ms. Williams is an advocate for children, building trust and mutual respect through relationships with colleagues, administrators, students, and their families, and the community. Through reflective practice and careful study, her years in education have taught her that every child is an individual and has the potential, when given the opportunity to explore subjects of interest, to be the master of his fate. 

    Ms. Williams enjoys traveling, shopping, watching football with her husband and two sons, and taking long walks with her dog.
