2025-26 Course Registration
-
Students will register on their own through their PowerSchool accounts from February 25 – March 7. We strongly encourage all students to pay close attention to course recommendations entered in PowerSchool by their teachers. We recommend that students consider taking those recommended courses/levels as their teachers know their work ethic, performance, and the next course in the sequence.
All courses selected, including the four alternates, need to be courses students would consider taking since any course selected during registration may be a part of the student’s schedule.
Teacher Recommendations
-
Teachers base their recommendations on students’ performance in class, course prerequisites, and their understanding of the rigor and expectations of future coursework. Generally, an A or B is the benchmark grade for recommendation to an honors-level or Advanced Placement (AP) course. Teachers also consider students’ study skills, work habits, assessment performance, and interest in the subject area to ensure success. While teacher recommendations are strongly encouraged as they have been shown to predict success, students and parents may opt to enroll in courses beyond these recommendations. However, students should carefully evaluate the challenges associated with such decisions, which may lead to difficulties or lower performance. Additionally, class sections are created based on student course selections, so we cannot accommodate schedule changes due to rigor/performance concerns.
Schedule Corrections
-
Schedule corrections for the 2025-26 school year will only be completed during the schedule correction window at the beginning of the school year. This includes corrections for both semesters.
