My name is Anna Burns and I am so excited to be working with your 1st grader this year. I was raised in Andover, MA, just north of Boston. I graduated from Elon University in 2004 with a degree in Communications. During my time at Elon I fell in love with North Carolina! My family moved to Wake Forest, NC in 2016 and haven't looked back.
Following a decade in the corporate world, I have worked at Preschool at Woodland over the past three years, first teaching 4/5 year old's preparing them for Kindergarten and then in an administrative capacity. I am very much looking forward to seeing the immense growth that happens during 1st grade and hope to cultivate a love of school and learning in your child.
I live in Wake Forest with my husband Tim and our three sons and two rescue pups. Griffin is entering 6th grade, Tucker 4th grade and Wyatt Kindergarten. All of my boys will have attended North Forest Pines Elementary and I feel so blessed to be joining the NFP family
