Below are some FAQs for prom:

 

 

Tickets are on sale now and will be available until April 30th - the earlier you buy, the better! Tickets cost $50 each and will be purchased through Gofan. You must purchase a ticket in person with Mrs. Guo to receive an access code. All sales require a digital form of payment (no cash).

 

 

If you have a date that does not attend East Wake, they must fill out an Off-Campus Guest Application to be approved to attend. All guests must be no older than 20 at the time of prom, and cannot be of middle school age or younger.

 

Off-campus guest forms are due no later than April 25th for approval! Keep in mind, if you buy a ticket for a guest who is not approved, that ticket is nonrefundable.

 

There is a self-nomination form available on the Canvas announcement slide. Seniors may nominate themselves to be considered. A week before prom, a vote will be held during seminar to narrow down the top 3 candidates in each category. King and Queen votes will take place at prom and the winners will be announced during the event.

 

 

Anyone who is suspended at the time of prom cannot attend, so it is important to maintain good behavior and attendance. All prom attendees are subject to the rules of East Wake Magnet High School, Wake County Public Schools, and NC Laws. If there is evidence of misconduct at the event, students may be checked or removed from the event. Remember, prom is a milestone event and we want to create a safe, enjoyable space for all!

 

There are several flyers and posters around the school advertising local businesses who do discounted or free prom attire. If you are struggling financially, please reach out to Ms. Guo or Ms. Brown so we can try to help!
