This message is from Gary Duvall the proud principal of Holly Springs High School regarding the Weekly Update for 4/21/25 through 4/25/25. Thank you for all of your support and we are ready for a great week ahead.
Graduation Meeting - There will be a MANDATORY graduation meeting on May 21 right after your Senior Breakfast. You will need to be at HSHS at 8 am for Breakfast, the meeting will start at roughly 8:45 am. During the meeting, we will be reviewing graduation details, practicing names, graduation tickets, getting your Senior T-shirt, and much more. Just a reminder that the Senior Handbook has a lot of details about the Graduation Ceremony! EACH SENIOR WILL BE GIVEN 9 TICKETS FOR GRADUATION. Please reach out to Ms. Prue if you have a guest who will need a handicapped access seat for the graduation. Her email is eprue@wcpss.net
Panorama Survey - Helping students do their best in school requires a team effort. Parents, students, and schools all play important roles in this process. Help us make your child's school experience as positive and beneficial as possible by giving honest, thoughtful responses to the questions in our Holly Springs High School family survey from April 7 - May 16. surveys.panoramaed.com/wakecounty/family.

GPA - Overall Unweighted- 3.0 - Science Classes Unweighted- 3.50

Science Classes - Must have successfully completed 2 honors science classes (this includes Sophomores as well to be eligible) Must be enrolled in an honors or AP science class for the 2025-2026 school year

Other Criteria - Must complete and adhere to all items in the application form

Juniors!! The application for National Social Studies Honors Society is available for those who have met the following requirements:

Overall Weighted GPA of 4.0

Overall Unweighted GPA of 3.5

Social Studies Weighted GPA of 3.75

5 Social Studies classes taken/passed by the end of Junior Year, 7 Social Studies classes taken/passed by the end of Senior Year

Morehead-Cain Scholarship for the Class of 2026 - If you are interested in applying to this scholarship, please follow these instructions carefully and pay close attention to the deadlines.
Here is a bit about the scholarship program:
They provide a four-year, fully funded educational experience for exceptional student leaders at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Rising Senior Parent Night and College Panel - April 24th at 6pm in the Auditorium
Student Services will host a Junior Parent night to share with parents all the details of preparing your child for Post Secondary Planning. A panel of College Representatives will also be present for an informational Question/Answer session.
***Attention Seniors!***
The PTSA is pleased to be offering TWO senior scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each again this year! The application period will open on March 24, 2025 and will close on April 28, 2025. The selected seniors will be recognized at the Senior Awards Ceremony on May 27th.
For a senior to be considered they must: Be a senior in good standing – verified by School Enrollment/Registration/Records. Have a minimum weighted grade point average of 3.0, verified by school records. Been accepted at a technical school, community college, or college/university for Fall 2025, verified by a copy of the student’s acceptance letter.
