North Carolina law requires all rising 12th grade students to receive a meningococcal vaccine booster before starting 12th grade. This requirement applies to all students in the Class of 2027 and beyond.

What Families Need to Do

• Make sure your student receives the meningococcal booster vaccine
• Submit updated immunization records before the first day of school (Email: jklink@wcpss.net or Fax: 919-589-6475)
• Immunization records must show proof that the booster has been completed.

Important Vaccine Details

• This is a 2-dose vaccine.
• The first dose was required in 7th grade in Wake County schools.
• The booster dose is required before entering 12th grade.
