Mrs. Caroline Miller

Principal

Here at Middle Creek Elementary, we are a part of a wonderful learning community that has great students, teachers and parents.  We believe that each student brings richness to our community of learners.  We are committed to educating the whole child and ensuring that each student has a strong learning foundation.  It is our goal to provide rigorous, engaging learning experiences for our students to instill a passion for learning that will develop our students into true lifelong learners.

I am excited to start my 8th year as principal at Middle Creek Elementary and my 21st year as an educator.  I am thrilled to be a part of such a special, hard-working, and dedicated learning community.

I graduated from Greensboro College with an undergraduate degree in Birth-Kindergarten Education.  In 2006, I added Elementary Education to my license.  I completed a Master's of Education with a reading focus from Meredith College in 2009.  From there, I earned the NC Principal Fellows Scholarship and completed the School Administration program at UNC-Chapel Hill.  I am committed to lifelong learning and remaining current on research-based best practices.

When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband Jason and our daughter Abby. We can often be found around town at events, down at the coast, and spending time with our family and friends.

Ms. Mary Bohland

Assistant Principal

Hello Middle Creek Families! My name is Mary Bohland and I am very glad to be a part of the Middle Creek community.

I graduated from UNC-CH and started my teaching career in Georgia. I moved to New York where I taught first and third grade. I was a stay-at home mom for ten years, until coming back to North Carolina in 2005, when I returned to the classroom as a third grade teacher in Wake County.

After receiving my degree in School Administration from NC State in 2013, I joined Middle Creek as the Assistant Principal. It has been my pleasure to work with so many interesting and eager learners.

In my spare time, I like to run. I am a slow runner, but I am consistent. I also like to read and listen to music. I try to get to the beach when I can since I grew up on Oak Island and I miss the ocean!

Thank you for sharing your children with me every day.
