Meet Our Director

Sherry Williams

My name is Sherry Williams, and it is my honor to introduce myself to each of you as the director of the new Early Learning Center at Memory Road, the first Pre-K stand-alone center for WCPSS. It is such a privilege to lead this charge, and I look forward to serving the students and families in our district.  

I have been in the field of education for over 26 years in different capacities. I began my career in Granville County as a Pre-K and kindergarten teacher.  I later taught second grade in Vance County before moving to Wake.  I have been employed by Wake County Schools for 19 years and have served as a kindergarten teacher, academic language coach, coordinating teacher for the Office of Early Learning, and Senior Administrator of Licensure and Quality Enhancement. 

I currently reside in Raleigh, NC, and am the mother of two young men (twins), Brandon and Bryon. I am an avid sports fan who loves the Pittsburgh Steelers.  During my downtime, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, vacationing at the beach, and traveling.  

As I transition into my new role, I look forward to working closely with my staff and other key stakeholders to provide young learners with an exceptional educational experience.  I aspire to create a school community that embraces a love of learning, promotes and supports professional growth, celebrates diversity, and implements equitable practices. I believe that high-quality teaching and what happens daily in our classrooms have the greatest impact on student growth and achievement.   

As a servant leader, the well-being of our students, families, and staff is at the center of my focus, so I will strive daily to offer whatever support necessary to ensure the success of all.  I believe that a thriving school community is one built and sustained through setting clear data-driven goals, creating a nurturing school environment with high expectations for all, leading with a sense of urgency, building strong school-to-home connections,  and promoting true collaboration among stakeholders. 

Meet Our Assistant Director

Kendra Bradshaw

Hello, my name is Kendra Bradshaw (she/her) and I am a dedicated and passionate educator who has devoted my career to making a positive impact on the lives of students. Born and raised in North Carolina, my journey in education began in 2006 when I enrolled at North Carolina Central University. In 2009, I proudly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration, equipping myself with a solid foundation in public service and governance.

Motivated by my desire to empower students and create meaningful change in the educational landscape, I pursued further education at Ohio University. In August 2009, I  embarked on a new chapter and, in 2011, successfully obtained my Master of Education degree in College Student Personnel. Through my studies, I developed a deep understanding of student development and gained valuable skills in student affairs, enabling me to support college students holistically.

Furthering my commitment to educational leadership and transformative practices, I pursued a master's degree in School Administration and Curriculum Instruction at East Carolina University from 2018 to 2020. Equipped with comprehensive knowledge of educational administration and curriculum design, I emerged as a dynamic leader with the vision and skills to drive positive change within schools. 

My unwavering dedication, innovative approaches, and passion for empowering students have made me a respected and influential figure within the field of education. My commitment to academic excellence and student success continues to shape the lives of countless students, making a lasting impact on their educational journeys and beyond.
