    A Note from Ms. Williams

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!  This week, we are celebrating the incredible teachers and staff who pour so much love, care, and dedication into our students every single day. Because of them, our children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

We invite you to join us in showing appreciation in simple, meaningful ways throughout the week. Our teachers truly make a difference, and we are so grateful for them!

    Welcome to Our ELC Family
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Ms. Fawn Leavy, our new PDDD (Part-Day Developmental Delay) teacher. Ms. Leavy brings over 21 years of experience as a bilingual educator and has a strong background in supporting young learners through engaging, hands-on instruction. We are excited for her to join our school community and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our students and families!

Teacher Appreciation Week: How Families Can Help Celebrate
We are excited to celebrate our amazing teachers, and we would love for our students and families to join in. Here are a few simple ways children can participate:

Tuesday: Bring in a Thank You Note for your teacher
Wednesday: Bring a Sweet Treat to share
Thursday: Flower Power – Bring a flower for your teacher

Also, be sure to check out our “Wanted” posters around the school, featuring our fabulous teachers who are “wanted” for their exceptional dedication, care, and commitment to our students. These posters also highlight some of their favorite things as a fun way for families to learn more about them.

Thank you for helping us make our teachers feel loved and appreciated.

ELC Day at Laurel Hills Park (FSP Day)
    Friday, May 8 | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM

Join us for a fun day at the park as part of our Family School Partnership (FSP) Day. Students will enjoy outdoor play and time together. Bag lunches will be provided for students who RSVP. Families are welcome to attend and celebrate with us.

Reminder: Only students who RSVP will receive a lunch

    What We’re Learning: Plant Study
Our students are continuing their Plant Study this week. In the classroom, children are exploring how plants grow, learning what plants need to survive, observing seeds, soil, water, and sunlight, and building new vocabulary through hands-on learning.

Try this at home: Take a walk and look for plants together. Ask your child what they notice.

    Save the Dates
May 8: ELC Day at Laurel Hills Park (FSP Day)
    June 4: Splash Day

    Thank You, Families
Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and love. When we work together, our students grow, learn, and thrive.
