🐛 Caterpillar Buzz Family Newsletter
Last Week of School Edition; June 8, 2026
Dear Caterpillar Families,
It is hard to believe we have reached the last week of school! What an amazing year it has been filled with learning, laughter, growth, and fun. We are so thankful for the opportunity to partner with you this school year. Your support, communication, encouragement, and collaboration have helped make this year such a special one for our students and school community.
Thank you for trusting us with your children and for working alongside us as they learned, explored, played, and grew. We are so proud of the progress our caterpillars have made, and we look forward to celebrating all they have accomplished!
📅 Last Day of School
Our last day of school will be Thursday, June 11. Progress reports will be sent home with students on the last day. Please be sure to check your child’s folder or backpack.
💦🎓 Thank You, Families!
A special thank you to all of our families who supported our ELC Splash Day and End-of-Year Graduation Ceremonies. Your presence, encouragement, and support helped make these celebrations meaningful and memorable for our students. We loved celebrating this special time with you!
🌞 Summer Learning and Family Fun
As we head into summer, we encourage families to keep learning fun and simple. Summer is a great time to build language, independence, creativity, and social skills through everyday activities.
Here are a few ideas to try at home:
- Read together every day, even if it is just for a few minutes. Talk about the pictures, ask questions, and let your child tell you what they notice.
- Build vocabulary during daily routines. Talk about what you are doing while cooking, cleaning, shopping, riding in the car, or playing outside.
- Practice counting and sorting with everyday items like snacks, toys, socks, or buttons.
- Encourage independence by allowing your child to practice dressing, cleaning up toys, opening containers, and following simple directions.
- Enjoy outdoor play, water play, music, dancing, drawing, building, and pretend play.
- Create a simple summer routine that includes time for reading, play, rest, and family connection.
