Enrollment
In Wake County, students are assigned to a base elementary, middle, and high school based on their home address. For information on how to enroll your student, visit the Enrollment page.
Note: As a magnet school, families outside Ligon's base attendance zone can still apply to attend our school. The magnet application window for the 2025-26 school year has closed. For more information, visit the WCPSS Schools of Choice page. -
Into the Blue (Student Orientation)
Welcome, new students and families! Into the Blue (student orientation) will be held on Thursday, August 21, from 8:30-11:30 AM. This event is for rising 6th grade students, 7th and 8th grade students new to Ligon, and their families. During Into the Blue, students will be able to tour the building, learn about our school, and meet their teachers. Parents/guardians are invited to participate in their own informational session with administration to support the transition to Ligon.
Questions? Contact Mr. Glasgow, Assistant Principal, at lglasgow@wcpss.net or (919) 856-7929.

Student Schedules
Students and families can now view student schedules in Infinite Campus (the student information system that replaced PowerSchool). Please note, however, that schedules will continue to shift over the summer as administration corrects issues such as missing classes and missing prerequisites. Families will receive notification once schedules are finalized in early- to mid-August. At that time, we will also share the process for requesting a schedule change.
Until then, please refrain from calling/emailing to request a change to your student's schedule.
We will have multiple opportunities for students to pick up a copy of their schedule. The first opportunity will be for new students at our Into the Blue/New to the Blue orientation on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Students will also receive physical copies of their schedules on the first day of school.
Note: Instructions for creating your Campus Parent account can be found on the WCPSS Infinite Campus page.
