My name is Cherie Miller, and I am extremely excited to begin another year teaching third grade.  I earned my Elementary Education Degree from Catawba College, and I received a Master of Arts Degree from Liberty University.  I have served as a third, fourth, and fifth grade teacher in Rowan County, Davidson County, and Wake County.  My husband, my daughter, and I moved to Wake County in 2020, and I have loved teaching third grade here ever since.  I am the proud mother for three adult sons, and one daughter who is in high school.  I am also the proud grandmother of one grandson and one granddaughter.  When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family and my adorable dog named Astro, and I love to travel. 

My name is Lisa Gainey, and I am so excited to introduce myself. My family and I moved to Fuquay Varina in 2017 from Sarasota, Florida. I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Florida. I later completed my Master’s in Reading degree from Kaplan University.  This year marks my 22nd year teaching. Over the years, I’ve taught K - 3rd grade. For the past 8 years, I’ve been happily teaching 3rd grade—it’s my favorite!

My husband Nathan and I have two awesome kids: Brady 16 and Carly 13. We also have one sweet, loveable fur baby named Cooper. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll probably find me out boating, traveling with my family, or taking pictures!

I have been teaching for 23 years and am so excited to be a part of the Bowling Road family! I grew up in New York, but have called North Carolina home for 23 years. My husband, kids, and I live in Fuquay with our dog and 5 cats! When not in school, I love reading, going to shows and concerts, and watching sports. I'm so excited to learn and laugh with my Tiger Cubs!

Hi! I’m Mrs. Petrucci. This is my 14th year teaching, and 3rd grade has a special place in my heart. I’m passionate about helping kids not only grow as learners, but also as kind, respectful people. At home, I live with my husband, two Flemish Giant rabbits, and am currently fostering a sweet German Shepherd, so there’s never a dull moment! I love relaxing by watching TV and spending time with my animals. I’m excited to build a classroom community where every student feels supported, challenged, and valued. Let’s make it a great year!

Hi! I received my degree in elementary education in 2023 from Western Governors University. Before I entered into teaching, I did 11 years in the military and 13 years in healthcare. I have been a part of WCPSS for 3 years. During those 3 years I have been an instructional assistant and a 4th grade teacher.  I live in Holly Springs with my husband and my 2 kids. I love teaching because I enjoy making a difference in children's lives.  I am excited to partner with you in making sure your child has a fantastic and successful year.
