My name is Annette Steele and this is my 21st year teaching in Wake County.
I am originally from the United Kingdom and I am married to Kevin who is a math teacher. I have three children, Kenneth 34, Jonathan 32, married to Shelby and Rebekah who is a senior this year. My Granddaughter is called Holly and my cat is called Jori.

My favorite thing to do is travel in my motorhome and visit new people and places.I believe passionately that every student can learn and will achieve greatness. I teach how I want to be taught - with passion, joy and exploration.

Hello! I’m Pauline Collins, an educator with years of experience as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor. I’m passionate about supporting multilingual students and creating a classroom where everyone feels welcome. I graduated from Shaw University and Regent University with degrees in education and psychology.  I grew up in the Virginia countryside, and love nature, cooking, reading, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with my family, three Labradoodles and two cats. I am so excited to get to know you and make this school year our best one yet!

I’m Stephanie Taggart, the Speech Language Pathologist for Bowling Road Elementary School. This will be my 4th year with Wake County Public Schools and my 26th year as a Speech Language Pathologist.  I live in Willow Spring with my two children, Nolan and Melody, my husband Doug and our two dogs Sage and Nala.  During my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family, running short and long distance races, hiking, reading, scrapbooking and helping families with special needs. I’m looking forward to meeting new students and working with the families in our community. 

I love working as a school counselor! This is my 14th year working as a counselor and I am excited to be a Bengal Cub! My favorite thing about working at a school is the students. 

I am married to Frank and we have three adult children and two grandchildren. I love to read, cook and ride my bike. I also really like traveling and adventures. 

I have been a school counselor for about 8 years and was recently named the 2025 WCPSS School Counselor of the Year! Some of my loves include coffee and all things Disney. I live with my husband, my beautiful daughter Olive, and my silly dog Jerry. My passions include social emotional learning in elementary school and advocating for students with special needs. My approach to counseling is strengths-based and incorporates a lot of play. I can’t wait to get to know the students and families at Bowling Road Elementary School!
