• Since its founding in 2012, Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy has embraced community service as a meaningful way to cultivate leadership and citizenship skills in our students. Serving others is at the heart of our school’s mission, helping young women develop a strong sense of responsibility, empathy, and connection to the world around them.

Community service is woven into the fabric of the WYWLA experience, enriching our learning environment and inspiring students to make a positive impact in both our school and the broader community. Engaging in service offers valuable opportunities for personal growth, teamwork, and the development of leadership qualities that will serve students well throughout their lives.

While participation in community service is encouraged rather than required, many students find it to be a rewarding part of their time at WYWLA. We invite all students to explore these opportunities and grow as compassionate leaders by serving their communities. To support this journey, we have thoughtfully designed suggested service guidelines tailored to each grade level, helping students navigate their path toward meaningful contributions.
