Odyssey of the Mind is a program that teaches students creative problem solving methods while having fun in the process.  Each year five new competitive problems are presented for teams to solve.  The teams work for months on the problem and present it at a local competition in March.  The team is also required to answer an on-the-spot or spontaneous problem. Penny Road sends four or five teams to the March competitions. Our school has produced many winners over the years. A few teams have advanced to the state competition and others have even competed at the world level.
