CHORUS – 

CUB CHORUS (Dates for 2021-22 TBD)

Cub Chorus is a performing group open to 2nd and 3rd graders.  Rehearsals are held each Tuesday after school from 3:45-4:45 PM in the music room.  Students will participate in lively vocal exercises and instruction in choral music culminating in various concerts and performing events throughout the year.  Any student in grades 2-3 are welcome! The chorus is directed by Penny Road’s music specialist, Mrs. Yvonne Koch.

PANDA CHORUS (Dates for 2021-22 TBD) – 

Panda Chorus is a performing group open to 4^th and 5^th graders.  Rehearsals are held each Thursday morning at 8:00-9:00 AM in the music room.  Students will participate in lively vocal exercises and instruction in choral music culminating in various concerts and performing events throughout the year.  Any student in grades 4-5 are welcome! The chorus is directed by Penny Road’s music specialist, Mrs. Yvonne Koch.

If selected, Panda Chorus will have the opportunity to sing in the Raleigh Fine Arts Choral Celebration at Meymandi Concert Hll.  More details to follow.

RECORDER ENSEMBLE (Dates for 2021-22 TBD) – 

Recorder Ensemble open to 5^th graders who showed interest and proficiency during their 4^th grade recorder curriculum.  Recorder Ensemble meets on Wednesdays before school from 8:00-9:00 AM in the music room.  This group will perform with Panda Chorus in the concerts listed above. Recorder Ensemble also has the opportunity to perform at the 5^th grade graduation program in June.
