LINKING SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY

The mission of the Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy Business Alliance is to link the resources of community stakeholders to enhance the School-to-Career transition of every student, as they become responsible, productive citizens and leaders within the community.

The Business Alliance will be comprised of business representatives, students, parents, and community volunteers. We will collaborate to provide the resources to support the Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy student community as they become critical thinkers and reflective learners. Our goal is to assist students in developing an attitude of care and compassion, a demand for inquiry and understanding, and a desire to contribute in a constructive way to the building of stronger communities, both locally and globally.. 

COLLABORATION

The Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy Business Alliance is a collaborative partnership between business leaders throughout the community and educators at Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy. The Business Alliance provides support and workplace realities for teachers and students. The career and life expertise of business leaders provides students with the relevancy between education and future careers. The Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy Business Alliance will meet on a monthly basis to develop action steps towards meeting the goals aligned with the School Improvement Plan.
