Welcome to second grade! This will be a transitional year filled with many adventures, opportunities for academic growth, and FUN experiences! Your second grader will develop independence by taking ownership of their learning, broadening their imagination with many hands on activities, as well as be engaged in deep thinking through meaningful and accountable conversations with their peers.

     Your second grader will strengthen and expand academic skills in reading, writing, and math though differentiated activities in the classroom. Knowledge with science inquiry will be enhanced through science experiments while learning to work in classroom communities with improved social skills. This will be a very productive year, and you will be amazed at the growth your child will make.
