I grew up in Franklin, NC in the mountains. I began taking piano lessons at age 7 and was hooked!  I went to UNC-Greensboro, began teaching after graduation, married and earned my Masters degree.  My husband, Jon, and I have three children and a dog named Russell. Our family moved to Holly Springs in 2006 and we love raising our children here.  I play the piano, organ and handbells at our Church.  I enjoy listening to music as much as I enjoy making it.  I believe the arts are an important and vital part of our children's education - academically, socially, mentally, physically and emotionally.  I know that all children can learn and grow through music.  I want all of my students to become life-long musicians, whether it is playing an instrument, singing in a choir, attending live concerts, or being a music supporter and consumer.  I am excited to be making music at Oakview Elementary!
