I am so excited to be at Oakview Elementary School!

I was born in Syracuse, New York and lived in Owensboro, Kentucky during my elementary school years. My family moved to Raleigh after my fifth grade year. I attended Daniels Middle School and graduated from Broughton High. I received my bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the University of West Florida.  I later earned a master's degree in Health Education from East Carolina University. I have taught in Wake County for 23 years.

When I am not at school, I love the sun on a beach and the cool air of the mountains. I enjoy cycling, gardening, a great cup of coffee and reading a good book.  I look forward to meeting you and working with the Oakview Family.
