Hello Owls, I am Mrs. Meulink, your art teacher.  I am a native of Raleigh, NC and have lived most of my adult life near the NC Art Museum.   I met my husband Marco in 1985.  We have two children, Annika and Shannon, both now grown and living in Western NC.  We also have 9 chickens who lay the most delicious eggs!  Prior to teaching I had been a Goldsmith, designing and creating handmade jewelry.   After 20 years as a studio artist I followed my dream of becoming an art teacher.  I have taught in both Wake and Durham County public schools.  l am passionate about the arts in NC and currently serve on the board of the North Carolina Art Educators Association.  I enjoy the creativity and joy in cooking, gardening, caring for animals and being in the great outdoors.  Vacations are spent camping, hiking, mountain biking and photographing nature.  I look forward to meeting everyone and sharing our journey into the amazing world of art.
