  • The PSAT/NMSQT® (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) will be given Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Enloe High School.

The PSAT/NMSQT measures skills that are important for success in college: verbal reasoning, critical reading, math problem-solving, and writing. Taking the PSAT/NMSQT enables students to:

--Get feedback about critical academic skills

    --Enter scholarship competitions

    --Seek information about colleges

    --Practice for SAT Program tests

11th grade students may qualify for the National Merit Scholarship by taking this test. WCPSS automatically registers and pays for juniors with a GPA of 4.375 or higher to take the PSAT/NMSQT.** Fee waivers are available for any Enloe Junior who is unable to pay the registration fee. Please contact your school counselor to request a fee waiver for the PSAT/NMSQT.

    WHO SHOULD TAKE THE PSAT/NMSQT?

The PSAT/NMSQT is an optional test. Any interested 10th and 11th grade Enloe student may take the PSAT/NMSQT. However, the PSAT/NMSQT contains items with Algebra and some Geometry concepts. Completion of Math II is strongly encouraged.
