    Good afternoon Forest Pines Families,

    We hope to see everyone tonight at Trunk or Treat! Please find the announcements for this week below. Have a great weekend!

    Updates for this Week:

     

    • New! Upcoming Student Events Next Week–Next week is going to be exciting! Please see the details below. 

     

     

    • New! Strawbridge Picture Information–Fall photos were sent home this week! If parents would like to order or if they need support, please see the information here:

    • Fall Retakes–Fall retake photos will be taken on Friday, November 20, 2025.

      • Please click on this link to sign up for updates and to read about picture package options. 

    • New! Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy Invitation–I have been asked to share an invitation for our families to learn more about WYWLA. Recruitment opportunities and applications are available. 

    • Carpool Safety Concern–We need all parents to support us in keeping our kids safe in carpool. We need all students to exit their cars from the right side. 

      • What happens if my child cannot get out on the right side? Please put on your hazard lights if you need assistance getting your student out of the car on the left side.  

    • Updated! Upcoming Teacher Workdays and Holidays–Students will be out of school on the following dates:

      • Tuesday, November 4, 2025 is a teacher workday. 

      • Tuesday, November 10 is Veterans Day. 

      • Schools will be closed from November 26-28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

      • Schools will be closed from December 22-January 2 for the winter break. 

     

    • Positivity Project–Next week, we will be moving into the new trait -OPM/Knowing that my words and actions affect others

    We hope to see you all tonight at Trunk or Treat!

     

    Trunk or Treat

    Our amazing Family Engagement committee is putting on the best ever Trunk or Treat!

    TODAY, October 23rd from 5:30-7pm.

    Costumes are welcomed but not mandatory. 

    FPDES is asking that you bring a canned good for Back Pack Buddies.

    If you can donate candy or trinkets (please see QR code below) by October 21st, that would be greatly appreciated!

    Come check out the amazing trunks our staff and teachers put together!

    PTA has arranged for Marco’s to have pizza pies available to sell to take home and enjoy!

    Actualizaciones de esta semana:

     

    • ¡Nuevo! Próximos eventos estudiantiles la próxima semana–¡La semana que viene será emocionante! Consulta los detalles a continuación.

     

     

    • ¡Nuevo! Información sobre la imagen de Strawbridge–¡Esta semana se enviaron fotos de otoño a casa! Si los padres desean hacer un pedido o necesitan ayuda, consulten la información aquí:

    • Retomas de otoño: las fotografías de repetición de otoño se tomarán el viernes 20 de noviembre de 2025.

      • Por favor haga clic eneste enlacepara registrarse para recibir actualizaciones y leer sobre las opciones de paquetes de imágenes.

    • ¡Nuevo! Invitación a la Academia de Liderazgo para Mujeres Jóvenes de Wake–Me han pedido que comparta una invitación para que nuestras familias conozcan más sobre WYWLA. Hay oportunidades de reclutamiento y solicitudes disponibles.

    • Preocupación por la seguridad en los viajes compartidosNecesitamos que todos los padres nos apoyen para mantener a nuestros hijos seguros encompartir cocheNecesitamos que todos los estudiantes salgan de sus autos de lalado derecho.

      • ¿Qué pasa si mi hijo no puede salir por el lado derecho?Encienda las luces de emergencia si necesita ayuda para sacar a su estudiante del automóvil por el lado izquierdo.

    • ¡Actualizado! Próximos días laborales y festivos para docentes–Los estudiantes no asistirán a la escuela en las siguientes fechas:

      • El martes 4 de noviembre de 2025 es día laboral para los docentes.

      • El martes 10 de noviembre es el Día de los Veteranos.

      • Las escuelas estarán cerradas del 26 al 28 de noviembre por el feriado de Acción de Gracias.

      • Las escuelas estarán cerradas del 22 de diciembre al 2 de enero por las vacaciones de invierno.

     

    • Proyecto Positividad–La próxima semana, nos adentraremos en el nuevo rasgo: OPM/Saber que mis palabras y acciones afectan a los demás.
