Welcome

  • Welcome to Forest Pines Drive Elementary, where we are committed to “Every Child, Every Day.” I am pleased and honored to be the principal of this amazing school. Here at Forest Pines Drive Elementary, we pride ourselves on providing a rigorous curriculum, fostering a loving environment, and implementing inclusive practices. This is made possible by our dedicated staff, incredible students, and continuous parent and community involvement.

Our vision at Forest Pines Drive Elementary is to facilitate a safe and supportive  environment in which ALL students learn and thrive. As a team, we act on these beliefs by implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), systematically using data to  inform decisions about student learning, and emphasizing social-emotional well-being.

Forest Pines Drive Elementary is blessed with ongoing, generous support from our PTA, community and volunteers.Their collective time, effort, funding, and sponsorship have allowed our students to engage in novel experiences and showcase their talents in many ways. Together, our students, staff and community create a dynamic elementary school where we all work together to ensure student success.

    A Little About Me:

I just moved to the area from California where I was a principal for 5 years and most recently the  Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the UCLA Lab Elementary School. Prior to that, I was an assistant principal, Instructional Coach and elementary school teacher. On a personal note, I am married with a 2-year-old son named Jordan and a baby girl on the way. My family and I love spending time together watching basketball.

I am a true believer in creating life-long learners. I model this practice and have just completed my Doctoral degree from UCLA in the area of student-centered math education. I am still an active member of the UCLA team. Being a part of the research and learning allows me to bring back best practices to our schools.

I am enthusiastic to partner with you to ensure your child has the best educational experiences with happy memories that will last a lifetime. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (919) 562-6262 or lbaggio@wcpss.net.

    Warm Regards,

    Principal Baggio
