Comfort Zone Camps is the nation’s largest free bereavement camp for children ages 7-17 who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver.    CZC of North Carolina provides children an encouraging and safe camp environment in which to feel “okay again” and to be around other children in their age group who are also experiencing loss.  They are matched with a trained, volunteer “Big Buddy” who is with them throughout the weekend.  Each child has the opportunity to participate in fun filled coping skill building activities and healing circles.
