I graduated from East Carolina University in May of 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Reading.

I am originally from California, and have lived in Wake Forest since I was 10. In my free time I love to workout at Orange Theory and spend time with my family, friends, and my sweet pup Charlie!

I chose to be apart of the RES staff because it is where I felt the most comfortable and at home. Every single person I’ve met is nothing short of kind and caring. That is one of the many reasons why RES is a great learning environment, it is filled with teachers and staff who care about each other and every student that comes into the building. I couldn’t imagine being at any other school!

I am Lori Newnam and I graduated from N.C. State University with a degree in English and taught high school English for 5 years before I became a mom. Once my own children went into school, I started helping out at their schools and fell in love with the elementary age and decided to go back into teaching at that level. 

I am originally from Durham, NC and now I live in Wake Forest with my husband, three daughters and my dog. 

I love the environment at Rolesville Elementary and I believe it is such a caring and inviting place to learn and work.

I was born and raised in Greensboro and moved to Raleigh in 2004. This is my 18th year in education.  I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade!

I have 2 boys, Ryan and Carson.  Ryan is a junior in high school and plays on the football and lacrosse team.  Carson is in 8th and plays on the football and soccer team.  We have an adorable 9 year old black lab named Sadie.  She is the absolute best! When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercising and traveling to the beach! I love cheering on NCSU, Carolina Hurricanes and the Panthers!

I am so excited to have the opportunity to build relationships, teach your child and watch them grow in so many ways! We are going to have an amazing school year!

  I was born in Wisconsin but moved to NC in 5th grade. I went to UNC-go Tarheels. This is my 16th year teaching. Second grade is definitely my favorite grade to teach.  I did take some time off to stay home with my kids then came back once they were all in school.  I’ve been back at RES for the last 8 years.  I feel like it’s my second home. It’s a great place to learn and grow for children and adults.  I’m excited for the new relationships I will make in this new school year.  

        I have 4 children. One is in college, my twins are in 11th and my  youngest is in 9th. I have 3 girls and 1 boy.   When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, taking walks and traveling-especially to the beach or mountains.
