Ms. Jess Darcey, School Nurse

Hi! I’m Jess Darcey, and I’m proud to serve as the school nurse here at Stough. I earned my degree in Human Biology from NC State University and completed the Accelerated Nursing Program at UNC–Chapel Hill.

Before joining the school system, I worked as a NICU nurse at WakeMed, where I developed a deep passion for caring for children and supporting families through their health journeys.

As the school nurse, I love connecting with students and families in meaningful ways—helping them feel comfortable, cared for, and supported while promoting health and wellness throughout our school community. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that shares the same dedication to making a positive difference every single day. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 2½-year-old, reading, and cooking.

That sense of connection and care is what makes me #StoughProud!

Ms. Lucretia Greaux, Social Worker

Hello! My name is Lucretia Greaux. I am a school social worker, and I have been employed with Wake County public schools for seven years. I graduated from Fayetteville State University with an undergraduate degree in Social Work/Sociology. I received my Master in Social Worker from the University of Southern California. I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

I grew up in a small-town call Mansfield, nestled in between Morehead City and Atlantic Beach. I was fortunate to have the experience of growing up on a farm at the beach. I'm a proud mother of two beautiful young ladies in college pursuing their dreams to become a Civil Engineer/Architect and Veterinarian.

As part of my Self-Care, I love vacationing on different islands. I enjoy listening to music, inspirational devotions, and meditations. I am most at peace sitting on my back porch at sunrise to hear and engage God's nature. I love bright colors, and I enjoy dabbling in fashion, and I Love my shoe game.

I have worked in the capacity of Social Work, 20 plus years, and I have enjoyed the opportunity that my role has afforded me working with a diverse population of children and families.

Two of my favorite quotes:

"Every child deserves a champion, an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be." Rita Pierson, and When writing the story of your life, don't let anyone else hold the pen." Harley Davidson

Ms. Rachel Shields, School Counselor for 3-5

"Hello! My name is Rachel Shields and it's my first year at Stough Magnet! I'm excited to be the new 3-5 School Counselor this year. This is my 5th year as a school counselor. I was previously at Pleasant Union Elementary for 3 years working with grades 3-5 and before that I worked as a 6th grade counselor at Swift Creed Middle School in Johnston County. I received my B.A and M.Ed. from East Carolina University. My favorite thing about working as an Elementary School Counselor is seeing the growth and resilience that each child has and their ability to show empathy and compassion when others need it most.

I'm #Stoughproud because from the moment I joined Stough, I've felt a sense of unity, compassion and inclusion. I plan on radiating that same energy to each student who walks through the doors every day! "
