Ms. Sydney McGee
Hello Stough families! My name is Sydney McGee, and I am so excited to be part of the wonderful Stough community. I am a proud Raleigh native and graduate of Leesville Road High School. In May 2024, I earned my degree in K–6 Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from UNC Wilmington.
This is my second year teaching, and I can’t wait to work with our amazing second graders! During my time at UNCW, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Stockholm, Sweden, which was an unforgettable experience that deepened my appreciation for global learning.
In my free time, I love reading, playing the piano, and taking walks. I feel truly grateful to be welcomed as a Stough Stallion and look forward to a fun and exciting school year together!
I chose to work at Stough Magnet Elementary because of the strong sense of community and family it fosters. Stough is a place where students and staff alike feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow. I am proud to be part of a school that not only prioritizes education but also nurtures relationships and a deep sense of belonging.
#StoughProud
