My name is Dom Frazier, and I'm looking forward to a great year! I received both my undergraduate degree and Master's of Education from Meredith College. I was previously a teacher at Joyner, and it feels good to be home. Most recently, I have been a Restorative Practice trainer for WCPSS. I have two children, Scarlett (5th grade) and Judah (Kindergarten), and I'm married to Andy, a hospice chaplain. I grew up mostly in Raleigh, although my family is from Peru. In my free time, I enjoy being outside with my kids, listening to podcasts, and reading. The values that guide me as an educator are curiosity, delight, and equity.

Ms. Kim Millsaps

Originally from northeastern Ohio, I journeyed to North Carolina to attend Wake Forest University where I learned to love all things southern, including my husband, to whom I have been married for 31 years!  I received a B.A. in Education and took my first teaching job in Charlotte, where I earned an M. Ed from UNC-Charlotte. My husband and I moved to Raleigh in 1988 and it was here that our three children were born.

Over the years, I have taught third grade, fourth grade, middle school, and also worked part time at Meredith College supervising student teachers.  After spending twelve delightful years as a JYJ parent, I joined the teaching staff in 2010. Both as parent and teacher, I learned that the “joy” in Joyner comes from the special relationships that grow and flourish between the members of the Joyner family. I feel incredibly fortunate to spend my days with curious JYJ third graders, sharing my love for learning, and especially reading.  When not at school, I am most likely, hiking at Umstead, biking on the Raleigh Greenways, playing with our rabbit, Stella, or curled up with a good book!

Ms. Kiarra Webb-Coe

Hey y’all!! My name is Kiarra Webb-Coe, and I’m excited to start my first year of teaching with the JYJ team. Originally from Bunn, North Carolina, I’ve spent the past 6 years growing and studying at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. There, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education (2022), followed by a Master’s in Special Education and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Instructional Design (2024).

My teaching philosophy centers around fostering a supportive and engaging environment where every student can thrive. I believe in blending creativity with structured learning to make education both fun and impactful.

When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll find me enjoying quality time with my family and friends, traveling, cooking, or exploring new books. I also love finding ways to stay active and embracing new experiences.

I’m eager to support our students and help them achieve their full potential this school year. I’m also excited about working closely with families to support our students’ success. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead, filled with growth, learning, and endless possibilities!
