Hola! My name is Christina Bell, better known as Señora Bell. I teach Kindergarten through 5th grade. I love teaching my students about the Spanish language and culture. I attended Buffalo State College in Buffalo, New York, and majored in Education with a major in Spanish. I enjoy art, cooking, the outdoors, exploring new places, and traveling.

"¡Hola! I'm Claudia, a passionate Spanish teacher with 15 years of experience in early childhood education. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, I'm thrilled to share my culture with my students and learn about theirs as well. When I'm in the classroom, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing my students' faces light up when they discover something new. My husband Sam and I share a love for adventure and exploration, and our furry companion Lacy loves joining us on our escapades. In my free time, I enjoy traveling to new places, hiking in the mountains, and indulging in delicious food and drinks - especially Colombian coffee and chocolate! But what matters most to me is family - my students, my husband, and our little family, including Lacy. I'm beyond excited to join the family at Joyner Elementary and create a warm and engaging learning environment where my students can thrive and grow. Me llamo Sra. Gourley, ¡y me encantan la escuela Joyner y nuestro programa de español! I am excitedly looking forward to lots of learning and fun in the Spanish classroom!
I fell in love with the Spanish language as a high schooler. My subsequent travels throughout Latin America, along with my studies in la Pontificie Universidad Católica de Chile and la Universidad de Chile, have only served to deepen my appreciation for the beauty of the language and culture. It is a privilege to work at Joyner, and it brings me great joy to share my passion for Spanish with your children,
My husband, Mike, and I are the proud parents of two girls, both Jaguar alums.
Outside of school, I love reading, hiking and camping in the mountains, and playing games with my family.
