Hello Falcon students and parents! My name is Corrie Matheny, and I have been the Speech-Language Pathologist at NFP since 2011. I work with PK through 5th grade, helping students with speech and language delays or disorders. Helping others communicate more effectively is rewarding and something I love. I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist for a total of 27 years. In addition to working in the schools for 21 years, I have also worked in private practice and in a residential facility for adults with disabilities.

 

I have lived in and around the Triangle area most of my life. I have an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill and a graduate degree in Communication Disorders from UNC-Greensboro. I live in Wake Forest with my husband and cat. My son will be a senior at Georgia Tech this year. My daughter is currently living in NYC, working and taking college classes part time. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. My family and I love visiting the NC mountains and beaches.
