    Wade Martin, Principal 

    Wade Martin is a native of New York but has lived in North Carolina since 1994.  He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta and North Carolina State University. Mr. Martin’s entire educational career of 26 years has been here in Wake County. For more than 18 years, he has served as a school administrator for WCPSS. Mr. Martin was a teacher at Enloe High School, worked as an assistant principal for Needham Broughton High School and as principal at Martin GT Magnet Middle School and Middle Creek High School. Most recently, he served as the Assistant Superintendent for School Choice, Planning and Assignment for WCPSS before being named as the founding principal for Willow Spring High School in 2021.

    Mr. Martin enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters who both graduated from Middle Creek High School and their doodle Rosie!  Watching Premier League Soccer, hiking & walking, and spending time in the mountains or at the beach keeps Mr. Martin busy in his free time.

    Mr. Martin could not be prouder to serve the community as the founding principal of Willow Spring High School.  Building a deeply connected community to support a personalized learning experience for WSHS students will be his focus as the Storm begins in August 2021!

    Lindsay Anderson, Assistant Principal

    Lindsay Anderson has been in Wake County since she was 2.5 years old and is a product of WCPSS.  Ms. Anderson is a two-time graduate of North Carolina State University and East Carolina University.  Ms. Anderson is in her 18th year of education with WCPSS.  Prior to joining the Willow Spring High School Administrative team, Ms. Anderson worked at East Garner Magnet Middle School for 12 years as a Behavior Support Teacher and Cross Categorical Resource Teacher and has most recently been a Coordinating Teacher for the Special Education Services Policy Team for the past five years.  Ms. Anderson did her administrative internship at Needham Broughton High School.
     
    Ms. Anderson loves to spend time cooking, playing games, and watching shows and movies with her family and her German Shepherd/Corgi mix, Brady.  She enjoys reading, walking, hiking, jogging, gardening, going to music concerts, and traveling pretty much anywhere!
     
    Ms. Anderson is thrilled to join the Storm community and be a part of building the school and community of Willow Spring High School!  She believes that every student can achieve success and will support all students on their path to graduation and the future they desire.  #WeWill

    Tamuri Basaldu, Assistant Principal
     

    Tamuri Basaldu was born and raised in Chicago, Il until the age of 12.  Her teenage years were spent growing up in Anderson, SC, where she attended T.L. Hanna High School, the home of the Yellow Jackets, Radio, and the Black Panther.  Mrs. Basaldu graduated from Michigan State University, received her teaching certification from NC State and her Master’s Degree from the University of North Carolina.  She has been a part of Wake County since 2008.  Nine of those years were spent teaching 8th grade science at Wakefield Middle School and 2 years as an administrator at Apex Friendship High School.  

    Mrs. Basaldu loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys relaxing days, watching movies, kayaking, fishing, traveling and eating good food.  

    Mrs. Basaldu is excited and eager to serve the students and staff of Willow Spring High School and be a part of the “STORM”!

    Noland Hicks, Assistant Principal
     
    Noland Hicks is a native of New Bern, NC, and a graduate of New Bern High School. Go Bears!!, He is also a graduate of North Carolina Central University and East Carolina University. Mr. Hicks has over 20 years of experience in education. Mr. Hicks has 10 years of experience as a high school social studies teacher at New Bern High School and has served as a school administrator for 13 years in Pamlico, Jones, Warren, and Wake Counties.  

    Mr. Hicks relishes time with his wife, daugher and three sons. Mr. Hicks loves to travel, read, and enjoy family activities.

    Mr. Hicks is excited to join The Storm family and looks forward to the opportunity to be a part of building the Willow Spring High School culture. Mr. Hicks believes that to have a successful school we must all work together to ensure that the needs of students are being met. Mr. Hicks further believes that it is everyone’s responsibility to empower children with the creative, intellectual, and critical thinking skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, and emotionally successful future citizens.

    Martin Riddle , Assistant Principal

    Mr. Martin (Marty) Riddle has been named assistant principal at Willow Spring High School for the 2024-2025 School Year. Mr. Riddle is a first-generation graduate from Bridgewater College in Virginia, and holds master’s degrees from the United States Sports Academy in Alabama and George Mason University in Virginia. Marty and his wife Carole have lived in Stafford, Virginia for over 28 years and have three adult children.

    Mr. Riddle is an accomplished, goal-oriented educator with a comprehensive education management background, including extensive experience governing high-performing schools. Acknowledged for leadership abilities in driving academic operations, overseeing multiple departments, and supervising teachers. He has excelled in multiple capacities within academic environments, including Assistant Principal, Director of Student Activities, Teacher, and Coach. He has a well-earned reputation as an exemplary problem solver and change agent with expertise in enhancing operations. He is committed to academic excellence.

    Mr. Riddle brings a passion for education and a dedication to helping every student achieve. He encourages students to develop their leadership skills by being a consistent positive, powerful influence in all areas of their lives and being respectful by treating others as they would want to be treated.

    Sara Rohleder, Assistant Principal, API

    Sara Rohleder grew up in Connecticut but has called North Carolina home since 2007. She is a graduate of Binghamton University in New York with a degree in Biology. A few years later she earned her Master’s in Education and taught high school Biology for 15 years, 12 of those years in Wake County. In 2020, Mrs. Rohleder graduated from North Carolina State University with a Master’s in Educational Leadership. She has been an Assistant Principal at Leesville Road High School for the past 3 years.  

    Mrs. Rohleder enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies. In her free time, she enjoys camping, boating, gardening, and the beach.   

    Mrs. Rohleder is excited to join the Storm community. She is looking forward to working with everyone to help bring out the best in every student.
