    Apex Friendship Elementary opened as one of two new elementary schools for the Wake County Public School System during the 2022-2023 school year.  We serve students from Pre-K through 5th grade and operate on a traditional school calendar.On December 7, 2021, the WCPSS School Board appointed Dr. Tanner Gamble as founding principal to lead the opening of the school.  Dr. Gamble started the school after serving as principal of Highcroft Drive ES in WCPSS since 2012.
