The month of October is a very important time in the lives of seniors as this begins the college application process. There are many events and resources available to help students and parents with this process.

The following Open House information was provided by schools that have sent Student Services information. In several cases, registration links have been provided. If a link has not been provided, please consult that school's website to see if registration is required. We encourage you to visit any school you may be interested in attending. Should your school of choice not be listed, please visit that school's website for their Open House dates, admission requirements, and deadlines.

Test Optional Colleges and Universities (not all inclusive list)
Note: These are schools that have reached out to AHS to provide this information. Many additional schools may be test-optional. Please check with schools directly to inquire if they are test-optional as well as if their prior test-optional status may have changed.
Berry College remains test optional- ACT and SAT scores are not required for admission.Bridgewater College- All applicants are eligible to apply as test-optional. If a student chooses to submit test scores, we need those before reviewing their application.Columbia University is extending our test-optional policy for all applicants to Columbia College or Columbia Engineering, effective for entrance in Fall 2024 and beyond.Pomona College is test optional for those applying to enter in 2022, 2023 and 2024!Rice University is test-optional for the 2024-2025 application cycle.University of Connecticut's test optional pilot program has been extended through the Fall of 2026.The University of Alabama at Birmingham is test optional through Fall 2024! -
