Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Chandra Farmer

I have 18 years of experience teaching PreK in two other counties, Winston-Salem Forsyth County, Guilford County, and Wake County Public School Systems.  As an early childhood educator, I am educationally responsible for my PreK students and strive to model, respect, be patient, and care for students and their families I come in contact with.  Students in my care have the right to have their needs met and receive the proper education.

I obtained my BS in Birth through Kindergarten from Winston-Salem State with a minor in Small Business Management and gained my BK certification from UNC-Greensboro.  I then sought a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from Capella University.  I also completed this by Ed.S agree in Early Childhood Education from Walden University based out of Minnesota.  I am also a part-time adjunct instructor at two higher education institutions, the University of Arizona Global Campus, based out of San Diego, CA, and Asheville Buncombe Community College,  based out of Asheville, NC.  I am now pursuing an Ed.D degree in Early Childhood Education from National University in San Diego, CA.

In my leisure time, I like to:

1.  I like to shop.
2.  Spend time with family and friends.
3.  Travel occasionally.
5.  Eating out at restaurants
6.  Listen to Smooth Jazz, as well as Rhythm & Blues (RnB)
7.  Although I do not have any children, I have a furbaby named Max, who is 4 lbs, 4oz.
