English Department
   

Overview
   

The English Department includes four core courses required for graduation:  English I, English II, English III, and English IV.  Each course is available in both academic and honors format.  Advanced Placement (AP) options are also available for the junior and senior English classes.
  

Elective courses presently taught by the English Department include:

• Literature-based electives such as the Human Experience, Cultural Media Literacy & Shakespeare
• Writing-focused electives such as Creative Writing
• Newspaper & Yearbook
• Speech I & II
  
  

Exact course offerings each year are based on student demand and availability of staff.
