When students arrive on Day 1, they will report to homeroom.

All students will report to homeroom at the beginning of the school day on the first day of school.  They will continue to report to homeroom each day for days 2-10 using the standard bell schedule.  On the first day of school, they will receive their schedule and other important information.  On the days that follow, they will receive updates and get to know the people in their homeroom.

    Student Schedules

All students will follow the schedules that they receive on the first day of school in homeroom.  All schedules are drafted until Tuesday, August 27.  Second semester schedules will remain drafts until the spring semester starts.

Counselors will return to school on Wednesday, August 21 and will work through schedule change requests that remain unresolved.  They are your primary contact for schedules.  More information about the schedule change process can be found at this link.

    Lunch Assignments

Lunch assignments can be accessed at this link.  Lunch assignments may be changed during the first week or two of school to balance lunches.  Schedule changes that are purely to align your lunch with other students will not be approved.  It is not feasible to change lunch assignments of an entire class by student request.

    Ensure Access to Your WakeID

The way that our students access all of their applications for school is through their WakeID.

Students: Make sure you're able to access WakeID Portal to access student email, PowerSchool account, Canvas, and other important platforms. Access the WCPSS Tech Guides for helpful information. Once you've accessed your WakeID Portal, make sure to do the following:

    • Log into PowerSchool to view your class schedule (available in August)
    • Check each of your teachers' Canvas/Google Classroom sites
    • Check your WCPSS email account for messages from your teachers

Parents/Guardians: We highly encourage parents/guardians to set up their own PowerSchool account, rather than using their child's account to log in. To set up a Parent PowerSchool account, use this link.

If you have any issues setting up your accounts, please visit this link for more information.
