• Attendance Changes for the 23-24 SY

    What it was

    What it is now

Parents were allowed to email the attendance email address or call the attendance office to check out students regardless of student’s age, even if they did drive (16 and older).

Students 16 and older who drive and need to check out early, are to bring a note from a parent/guardian between the hours of 6:55 AM-7:20 AM to the Attendance Office in the East.

    • Date, time, reason for leaving and parent/guardian's phone number is required.
    • Notes may be verified by calling the phone number listed. The student will be issued a yellow slip to show their teacher.
    • They will be released from class and go directly to their vehicle. They do not need to go back to the Attendance Office a second time to check out.

If the parent/guardian does not send a note, they will need to come to the school to check their student out. An email or phone call only, will not be sufficient to check them out regardless of age.

If the student is under 16, a parent /guardian must come in person to check them out.

All students who arrive at school between 7:25 AM -7:40 must go to the tardy sweep station. After 7:40 AM students must report to the Attendance Office. At 8:10, students are marked “unexcused Absent” due to missing 45 minutes of instructional time. Students will then report to their class with a yellow pass.
