Ms. Croom is a dynamic, visionary educational leader dedicated to fostering academic excellence, holistic student growth, and a vibrant school community. With 20 years of experience, she has committed herself to creating an environment where students flourish academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring each student feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
Raised in Durham, North Carolina, Ms. Croom graduated from the esteemed North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Birth-Kindergarten. She then earned her Master’s degree in Family and Consumer Science Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Ms. Croom began her career as an elementary school teacher in Greensboro, North Carolina, where her passion for education took root. She later taught Family and Consumer Sciences at the middle and high school levels, served as a Dean of Students at an Early College in Guilford County, and became a high school Assistant Principal, where she completed a Master’s degree in School Administration and Leadership.
Ms. Croom is actively involved in various professional and educational associations. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, spontaneous shopping, traveling for leisure, attending theater and concerts, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
