Carpool Procedures for Parents

Please make sure your child knows how he/she is getting home each day.

Morning carpool starts at 8:45, please do not drop your child off prior to that.

Afternoon carpool ends at 4:10. If you don’t make it to the school by 4:10, you will need to park and  come into the office to pick up your child/ren. Anyone picked up after 4:15 will receive a YMCA flyer.

• All families have been assigned a carpool tag/number, no matter how often you use the carpool line. 

• The carpool tag should be visible during the entire carpool process, hanging from the rearview mirror or in the car window.

• If you do not have the carpool tag you may write the carpool number boldly on a piece of paper.

• Drive SLOWLY through the carpool line. 

• Wait until the Carpool Caller has completely passed your car before driving forward. .

• After picking up your child, please do not  pull out of line. Stay in the line of cars to exit the carpool loop.

• Make sure your children know if their sibling is carpooling with them or not. If they get to the car and you are missing a sibling or child, please tell the teacher at your cone. They will contact the cafeteria to get your child. 

• If you are picking up multiple students from multiple families, please tell Mrs. York both families’ carpool numbers. 

• If you have a safety patrol student and you give your number to Mrs. York, stay in the line. Please do not get out of the line to park.  If you do decide to park, please do not get back in line until carpool is finished.

• Open your window so Mrs. York can pet your dog ;)
