Positive Behavior Intervention and Support

The Reedy Creek Middle Magnet Middle School Center for the Digital Sciences PBIS program is based on the premise that punishment is not an effective way of changing behavior. Instead, teachers and staff believe that all students can be taught to demonstrate appropriate behavior. We teach, model, and sometimes re-teach new behaviors and skills, always with the knowledge that positive relationships between students and adults are the key to student success.

Our PBIS team offers sponsored events throughout the school year, in addition to leading the school in recognizing and rewarding students who display positive character traits and behaviors.
