Mrs. Marly Eaton, ESL Teacher
This school year is Ms. Eaton's twelfth year in education and her seventh year at Green. She is the part-time ESL teacher and taught kindergarten prior to that. Her passion is partnering with families and creating a sense of belonging and significance for her students. She grew up in Raleigh and is a former Green student! She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (Global Studies & Hispanic Linguistics) and Hunter College (master's in Early Childhood Education & Special Education, certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Outside of work, she loves exploring Raleigh's free parks and museums with her husband and her four-year-old son.

Mrs. Elizabeth Garcia, Instructional Coach Grades 2-3
Mrs. Elizabeth Garcia is the Instructional Coach for 2nd and 3rd grade. At Green Magnet Elementary School, she supports the teachers and students through instructional coaching and leadership development. Over her 20-year career, she has worked to foster academic growth, strengthen instructional practices, and create learning environments where every child can thrive. She believes every child deserves a learning environment that challenges, inspires, and celebrates their unique strengths.
Outside of school, she enjoys spending quality time with her two children, who continue to inspire and motivate her every day.

Ms. Drena Gibbs, Intervention
Ms. Gibbs is an intervention teacher at Green Leadership and World Languages Magnet Elementary. Ms. Gibbs began her teaching path at Saint Augustine's University. She then attended NCSU where she earned her M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction and later her Reading Certificate. She is an avid believer that all kids can learn and are destined to be great. In her spare time. Ms. Gibbs loves spending time with family, playing old-fashioned word games and shopping!

Mrs. Lori Guettler, Intervention
Lori Guettler is one of the intervention teachers at Green Elementary. She has 19 years of experience as both a classroom teacher and an intervention teacher. Lori loves working with students and takes great joy in seeing their progress as learners. Originally from Massachusetts, Lori has lived in North Carolina for many years. She is married and has two grown children. In her free time, she enjoys baking, running, painting, visiting Disney, and spending time at the beach. She also has a love for unique earrings. A loyal University of Michigan fan, Lori cheers for Massachusetts teams when it comes to professional sports. She is very excited to be part of the Green Elementary community!

Ms. Abbie Joyner, Instructional Coach Grades K and 1
Ms. Joyner loves being a part of the Green family as instructional facilitator and coach for kindergarten and first grade! She is originally from Nashville, North Carolina. She was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Elementary Education (Go Heels!). She holds a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from NC State. Ms. Joyner began her career in Wake County in 2005. Along the way, she has taught kindergarten and second grade, been a reading and math interventionist and literacy coach. When she is not at school, she loves to cook, garden, and spend time with her family.

Dr. Donna Kaye, Magnet Coordinator
Dr. Kaye is the Magnet Coordinator at Green Magnet Elementary. She earned her Masters and Doctorate in Education from Nova Southeastern University. With over 25 years of educational experience, she has had the opportunity to hold many roles within a school setting. From a Kindergarten teacher to Administration, her passion is helping students and staff be their best selves. Her purpose is to make a difference and to make others feel valued and confident. She is also a life-long learner who thrives on learning new skills and enjoying new experiences.

Mrs. Cindy Martin, AIG and Enrichment Teacher
Mrs. Martin is both the AIG and LEAD Lab teacher at Green Leadership and World Languages Magnet Elementary. She earned her undergraduate degree from Temple University and earned a Masters in Education from Acadia University. She went on to pursue licensure in Gifted Education and has been in that role for most of her education career. She is passionate about incorporating technology, creativity and collaboration in her classroom. Before joining Green Elementary, she worked in both middle school and elementary schools in the Garner area. She believes that inspiring a love of learning is the most important part of teaching. When she is not at school Mrs. Martin enjoys bike riding, visiting quirky places in North Carolina, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Marquita Morris, Instructional Coach Grades 4 and 5
Ms. Marquita Morris is the Instructional Coach for grades 4 and 5 at Green Leadership and World Languages Magnet Elementary. She holds a Master of Arts in Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.) in Elementary Education, along with K–6 Elementary Education certification. With nearly two decades of experience, she is passionate about helping teachers create student-centered, conceptual approaches to learning. Before coming to Green, she taught upper elementary grades, served as an instructional coach, and taught adult learners at Wake Tech Community College. She is grounded by the words of her former principal, Ms. Anderson: “You are not teaching a curriculum or a pacing guide... you are teaching children. Do what’s best for them.” Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, retail therapy, and spending time with her two daughters and family.

Mrs. Wintre' Shaw, Intervention Coordinator
Ms. Shaw is an Intervention Teacher at Green Leadership and World Languages. She obtained her B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading from East Carolina University and a Masters' in School Administration and Curriculum & Instruction from East Carolina University. Before joining Green, she worked as an interventionist in Pitt County, and served in several different roles in Durham Public Schools to include MTSS Coordinator, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal. Education is her passion because it allows her to witness children grow, discover their potential and ultimately be a catalyst to change the trajectory of their lives for the better.
