My name is Laura Barrett. I am very excited for another year teaching at Green. I love football, my dog, coffee, and a good book!

Greetings! This is my 1st year at Green but my 17th year teaching with 25+ years in the field of Education. I enjoy working with students and helping them navigate through their academic journey. I have taught at the Elementary, Middle, and Collegiate level. It is my belief that education opens the door to success, and you can also have fun while learning! I am looking forward to a successful, fun, and rewarding year. 

I enjoy writing plays, poetry, and skits. I also enjoy crafting, traveling, going to plays & shows, shopping, watching movies, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. My daughters (age 20-Junior in her college Honor’s program and age 13-8th grade...AWESOME!) are my rays of Sunshine and bring true joy to my heart! 

I began my career at Green in February 2015. This is my 7th year supporting the special education team and their students. I enjoy cooking, traveling with my friends and family, and photography in my spare time. I share four children (2 bio daughters; 21 &19 and 2 bonus sons 17 &15) with my companion, Jovan.

My name is Florrie Dean and I was born in Nassau, Bahamas. I have a wealth of experience in the legal field from having started my career in this area. Through my love of learning and caring for children, I embarked on a new career in teaching in the area of special education. In my transition from an instructional assistant to teacher, I gained an invaluable amount of experience from the various special education settings, which proved to be extremely beneficial. I love to read, travel, walk and spend time with family and friends. I am the proud mother of one son, Evan, who shares my love of reading. 

I am new to the WCPSS community but loving every second of it. I am a dog parent for 9 years and diabetic for 23.  I live with a motto of "I can't help but help." If you ever need assistance, and you see me, just ask and I'll do what I can!

This school year will mark my 12th year in education. I graduated from Peace University in downtown Raleigh and attended Wake county Public Schools as a child. I am proud to serve in my community. I was originally born in Santiago, Chile. I have two daughters,12 and 14 and a 4 year old goldendoodle named Chloe.

My name is Marissa S. Hogan. I was Born and raised in Raleigh NC. I graduated from William Peace University (Go Pacers!). I love Being a safe place for students and learning what it means to be a great teacher! I have Worked with students for 10 plus years starting out as a camp counselor and camp director, and a preschool lead teacher.
