Hello, my name is Kristal Horton, and I am excited to join the Yates Mill Family. I was born in North Carolina and have taught in Virginia, Florida and Tennessee. I moved back home to North Carolina in 2019 and this will be my 24th year in education. I have pursued my passion for education by earning a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and an Ed.S in Administration and Leadership.
Outside of my professional life, I am an avid painter and love to travel, finding inspiration in the diverse cultures and landscapes I encounter. I have been happily married to my husband, Scott, for 18 years, and together we have a wonderful son named Cameron and a cute little Shih-tzu named Canyon.
