If we are not focused on the needs of the students who we serve, what are we really about?  Education is a unique profession, one based on creating diversity and individualism.  This task is completed through knowing our student population.  Vernon Malone College and Career Academy has the added benefit of knowing each child.  Education has always been a partnership between the student and the teacher.  It has been one that has shifted throughout the centuries but show me successful students and they will tell you about the teachers that helped them.

In recently joining the Silver Hawk family, I am excited about the school’s vision for supporting its students and partnering with the community.  Throughout my career, I have witnessed the “great things” that schools offer. Vernon Malone is no different.  Through our partnership with Wake Tech, our students are not only envisioning their future, but they are also preparing for it in real time.
