Business Partnerships

Vernon Malone College and Career Academy maintains a strong Advisory Council and Advisory Boards (representing each program area). This is a collaborative partnership between business leaders throughout the community, educators and students. The Advisory Council provides a governing body to connect our business partners with our school through intentional programs and opportunities.  The Advisory Boards are the essential bridge between our school and the workplace.  They collaborate with educators to inform curricula and organize work-based learning activities. Advisory Boards give students the opportunity to build relationships with mentors and learn from professionals in the trade.  

Our business partners play an active role in developing the future workforce by giving our students opportunities to develop their employability skills.  Internships, job shadowing, mock interviewing, guest speaking and hosting field trips are just some of the ways our business partners support our school.
