Welcome to World Languages

  • The goal of the Middle Creek High School World Languages Department is to equip students with 21st century skills and to prepare them to be global citizens who can take the knowledge out of the classroom and into the world by providing students with language acquisition skills through reading, writing, listening, and speaking in preparing for college and beyond. Students develop an understanding of the similarities and differences between cultures and languages as they examine the influence of the beliefs and values of the target culture(s).

The department currently offers French, Spanish, and Latin from level one through Advanced Placement (AP). It is expected that students enrolled in the AP level course will take the College Board Advanced Placement test with the potential to be awarded college credit.

The Middle Creek World Languages Department also offers English as Second Language levels 1 through 3 as well as Resource.

Our department is proud to offer Spanish tutoring every Thursday after school through the Spanish Tutoring Academy which is run by the Spanish Honor Society students.

Also available to our language students are the Spanish Honor Society, the French Honor Society, and the Latin Honor Society (Junior Classical League).  These societies are in place for those students who have proven to be exceptional in the language.  Participation is by invitation only.
