East Carolina University - Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (Mathematics concentration)

I am so excited for another school year with the Swift Creek community! I was born in Texas but spent most of my childhood in Cary and am a proud product of WCPSS! I spent four wonderful years teaching in Pitt County before returning home to teach in Wake County.

Although third grade can feel intimidating, I take pride in helping my students gain confidence in their strengths while showing them that mistakes are a valuable part of the learning process!

Outside of school, I enjoy visiting the beach, cheering on my favorite teams (go pirates! go frogs!), and spending time with my miniature dachshund, Minnie. While math is my favorite subject to teach, I also have a deep appreciation for the arts, including music and dance, and I love to curl up with a good book or craft in my free time!

I look forward to working with students and families to make the third grade experience the best one yet!

North Carolina State University - Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (STEM concentration)

Hi everyone! I am looking forward to another year of building a collaborative and inclusive environment with my students. 

This is my fifth year teaching third grade in Wake County and my second year at Swift Creek.  Swift Creek is truly a special place to be, and I consider myself lucky to spend each day with third graders. Third grade is a magical year because we get to learn about multiplication, fractions, and our Solar System!

I was born in Statesboro, Georgia, then I moved to Concord, North Carolina where I lived until I went to college. I graduated from North Carolina State University, Go Wolfpack! Outside of school, I really enjoy attending Carolina Hurricanes hockey games, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. A few of my favorite things are DOGS and M&M's.
